International Day To End Obstetric Fistula (IDEOF)

The Ministry of Health, Makueni County Government, in collaboration with UNFPA, M-PESA Foundation, The Flying Doctors Society of Africa (FDSA), Amref Health Africa in Kenya, Beyond Zero, Save a Woman Foundation, and Royal Media Services will hold a free Female Genital Fistula (FGF) Camp at Makueni County Referral Hospital from the 19th ÔÇô 26th May 2024. The camp targets to repair 100 women unable to control urine and/or stool and build capacity by training medical healthcare workers in the County in celebration of IDEOF.
Celebrated on 23rd May by the United NationsÔÇÖ (UN), the International Day to End Obstetric Fistula (IDEOF), promotes action towards treating and preventing obstetric fistula, a condition that affects many girls and women in developing countries.
